Visiba Group is joining the OPEHRA project

We are pleased to announce that Visiba Group AB has joined the project as of September 2025.

Founded in 2014, Visiba specialises in enabling better healthcare through smarter technology. The organisation is proudly dedicated to responsible AI principles within its technology. Visiba’s AI-powered triage technology is at the forefront of digital triage, utilising AI for patient navigation and prioritisation on the front-line of healthcare.

Today, Visiba has customers in several countries, every minute a patient interacts with Visiba software whether in Primary Care, Specialist Care, Municipal Care or Social Care. AI safety and a human-centric focus is core to Visiba’s mission, such values deeply align with OPEHRA’s main goals, as described by Visiba’s Chief Commercial Officer, Hannah Gibson:

“The WHO’s guidance on the ethics and governance of AI reminds us that technological progress in health care must be grounded in human rights. The OPEHRA Project (funded by the Swedish Knowledge Foundation) brings together leading voices to explore how this principle should shape the future of AI in health and social care. Visiba is delighted to join research partners on the mission to create responsible AI that serves patients and clinicians first.”

At OPEHRA, we strive to integrate human rights-based approaches into the design of AI-based technologies in digital health. Together with Visiba and other partners, we will focus on co-producing knowledge and practical solutions to integrate human rights into the design of health systems, from engineering to operations. As a consortium, we join forces to conduct action research case studies and develop training and awareness materials that can benefit players in the Swedish private and public sectors.

We have an exciting journey ahead!
